exporting data as XML
dmitp asked:
Is there a way to export data as XML?  Thanks.
  willpugh responded:
There are a couple of ways to get your data as XML:
1)  You can write a script that will spit out XML.  2)  If you export a web as an archive, and then open the archive file, you will find all the data in the archive is written in XML
3)  If you are not afraid of URL munging, you can tweak the _admin parameter on a .data file to say _admin=xml  This will spit out all the records as XML.

The problem is that you must have designer permissions in order to do #3.  e.g. would spit out the XML for the data in the addressbook in a web called

We are looking at adding better solutions for getting at data via XML in the near future.

Webcall-able functions allows you to write web-services that output data as XML in response to HTTP requests from other servers.

The setContentType method on the response object accepts "text/xml".
