Using string.Split()
djmakowski asked:
I want to use string.Split(delimiter) as part of a function Data_AfterInsert(record, previous).  I am getting this error,
Bad input symbol: expected ')', found ';' at line 6, character 36.

The semicolon is my delimiter. var x = string.Split(;);  I have tried replacing the semicolon with other characters (* , : etc) but I get the same error.  The only one that works is (_) underscore.  My script still failed and the error log said that I had needed to declare _ (underscore) as a variable.

My questions are:
1) Shouldn't I be able to use string.split() here?
2) If yes any ideas what I am missing?

If you need more info let me know.

  nicks responded:
  What you want is:
var x = myString.split(";");

You need to quote the string that you're passing as the delimiter.

  djmakowski responded:
  Thanks for catching that stupid mistake.
