The Work Area is where you create and modify the different parts of your web application. The menu bar contains all the wizards you will need to create new parts of your web application, including wizards for building data tables, views, and importing and exporting files. 
The designer tabs allow you to see and edit your application in three different ways. (1) The Design tab presents a graphical environment for building and modifying the elements of your application. You can also drop and drag elements, as well as select them and modify their properties in the Properties Pane. (2) The Source tab presents the underlying source code of your web application. (3) The Preview tab lets you see the application as a user would see it.
