DOMCharacterData.replaceData
Syntax

DOMCharacterData.replaceData(offset, count, replace_string)

Arguments Description
offset A number specifying the position to begin replacing data.
count A number specifying the number of characters to replace.
replace_string A string specifying the new data to be replaced starting at position offset


Returns

A string.

Description

The replaceData() method modifies the value of the data property by replacing characters starting at offset and continuing for count number of characters. The new data to be placed in the string is specified by replace_data.
